Celebrating a New Year!!!       A “No Pressure, Just Fun” Resolution  

The house has been undecorated from the holiday season, the new stuff has been lovingly placed in its new home, the old stuff was boxed up for donation and the exercise plan has been implemented!  Sound like everything is peachy? 


Not yet!! 

For us stitchers and crafters and wannabes, let’s go one more.  Add some ‘make stuff’ goals to your weekly calendar.  Put it up there like an appointment.  If it’s a larger, more time-consuming project, put the project name on your calendar when you want it finished.  Then back into it by placing smaller steps each week to do  in small increments, this will get you the finished project on time.  You choose the project that you know you can handle, and decide how much time each day or week you can spend on it and calendar it. 


Yeaaah, you have something fun to look forward to, and it fits right in with your other appointments and ‘to-do’ list.  Done!  Now ad in some extra fun that’s not calendared but won’t interfere: 


  1. Bullet  Have a tote bag ready to go with your hand stitching projects for waiting room appointments--do not pick up that magazine!  


  1. Bullet  Plan ahead of time what you can do while relaxing in front of the TV, it’s guilt-free lounging!  


  1. Bullet  Have a girl’s night out chatting and stitching, the inspirational brainstorming is amazing.  Hey, this could be a monthly fun night! 


New fabric and buttons will be arriving.  

I have several pieces of high-end woolens for suiting or coats, a couple four-yard pieces of scrumptious black cashmere and a few pieces of elegant silk at 20% off.  These fabrics must be seen and touched to get your senses inspired.  I have a talented dressmaker who can fulfill your custom apparel wishes, right Roberto?


My hanging remnants will stay priced at 50% off!  There are many gorgeous cottons, silks, upholstery textiles, knits and lace--all two to five yards each!  These are too big and fabulous to roll up into a ball and call remnants, so they hang happily waiting for your creative eye and loving touch.  Any remnant two yards or more can be cut as you need.
